Claricode, a developer of integrated enterprise technology solutions exclusively for the healthcare industry, announced today its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Needleman, has been elected Treasurer of the New England Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (NEHIMSS). The New England Chapter is the largest chapter of HIMSS, whose mission, according to its Website, is "to lead change in the healthcare information and management systems field through knowledge sharing, advocacy, collaboration, innovation, and community affiliations."
In this new role, Needleman will work with other NEHIMSS board members to create a budget focusing on funding for programs that drive innovation in healthcare IT, while maintaining the organization’s strong overall fiscal health.
Prior to his position as NEHIMSS Treasurer, Needleman served as the organization’s Sponsor Liaison for the first year NEHIMSS began accepting corporate sponsors. Under Needleman’s leadership, the sponsorship program exceeded all of its pre-established goals, signing up ten platinum and diamond corporate members. As a result of his success in this position, Needleman was asked to take on more responsibility within the NEHIMSS leadership team.
